Ingredients
Biscuits
2 cups of Biscuit & Baking Mix
1/2 cup melted vegan butter or oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 cup vegan milk
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups shredded vegan cheddar cheese
Topping (optional)
3 tablespoons melted vegan butter
1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (fresh if possible!)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a small bowl or measuring cup, pour the apple cider vinegar into the vegan milk and set aside to curdle into "buttermilk."
Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together the Mix, garlic powder, cayenne, and vegan cheese. Add the melted vegan butter or oil and pour in the “buttermilk” mixing just until a dough has formed.
Step 4
Lightly grease a 1/4 cup measuring cup and use it to scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between each biscuit.
Step 5
Bake biscuits for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Stir the melted butter or oil, garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl and brush the tops of the warm biscuits.
Enjoy!
