Compassionate Kitchen Biscuit Mix Tortillas

About the Recipe

These tortillas are just as tasty as store-bought but without all the junky ingredients! Great for wraps, vegan quesadillas, and burritos.



Step 1

Add Compassionate Kitchen Biscuit Mix to a medium bowl.

Step 2

Whisk together vegan milk and olive oil and slowly incorpoate into Biscuit Mix. Add more milk or mix as necessary until you have a cohesive ball of dough.

Step 3

Place dough on floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes).

Step 4

Divide dough into golf-ball sized balls.

Step 5

Flatten and roll out each dough ball until they are about 1/8" thick and 6" - 8" in diameter.

Step 6

Pre-heat a large dry (no oil) skillet over medium heat.

Step 7

Carefully place a tortilla on the pre-heated dry skillet and cook until bubbles form on the top (about 2 - 3 minutes). Use a spatula to lift up the edge and carefully flip tortilla and cook on the other side for another 2 - 3 minutes.

Step 8

Let cool completely on a paper towel and store in a zip-top bag.
