About the Recipe

Our Everyday Mix makes it easy to bake warm, fluffy, plant-based biscuits with just water - no butter, milk, or extra ingredients needed. Thanks to the coconut milk powder blended right into the mix, these biscuits bake up tender and satisfying in minutes, without the fuss of traditional biscuit-making.

This mix is designed for simplicity and flexibility. Enjoy it as-is for easy, everyday biscuits, or customize to your taste by adding a spoonful of ground flax for extra nutrition or a touch of sugar if you prefer a slightly sweeter biscuit.

Unlike our Biscuit & Baking Mix, which uses oil and plant-based milk to create classic flaky, layered biscuits, the Everyday Mix offers a lighter, quicker option that’s perfect for busy days.

Serve these biscuits alongside soups and stews, build quick breakfast sandwiches, or enjoy them warm with jam or gravy. Like all Compassionate Kitchen mixes, it’s thoughtfully crafted with clean ingredients and sustainability in mind - so you can bake something quick and delicious anytime.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Everyday Mix

  • 3/4 cup of water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F


Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine Everyday Mix with water. Stir just until a shaggy dough forms.


Step 3

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle with a little extra mix and gently fold the dough over itself a few times—this helps create tender, fluffy layers. Be careful not to overwork


Step 4

Gently press the dough or roll it out with a rolling pin (the rim of a glass works too) until it’s about ½ inch thick. Cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass.


Step 5

Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet so they’re just touching. Bake for 10–14 minutes, until golden brown.
